Welcome To My Web Site

To thee my master, I offer my prayer. Feed me,care for me and love me.When the days work is done, provide me with shelter,a clean dry bed and a stall wide enough for me to lie down in comfort. Be kind, talk to me,pet me that I may serve you more gladly.Do not jerk the reins, whip me,strike, beat or kick me when I do not understand.Give me a chance to understand you, watch me see if something is wrong with my equipment check my hoofs. I can not tell you when I am thirsty please water me often.I can not tell you when I am sick so please watch me.Please give me shelter from the hot sun and rain. And finally,O My Master, when my useful strength is gone please do not sell me to a cruel owner to be slowly tortured and starve to death;but do thou, My Master, take my life in the kindest way, and your God will reward you here and hereafter .You will not consider me irreverent if I ask this in the name of Him who was born in a stable.

A poem in the horses view.

A Horse Once Loved
I used to be a happy horse
A family nice and true
My owner came and said to me
"You know, I really love you"

I was always hayed and fed
and before each night was done
she came along and kissed my nose
and tucked me in for bed

The days and weeks went by
and less of her I saw
"I wonder where she went" I thought
"Why's she not here by my side?"

I was hungry, cold and weak
I hadn't been feed in days
all I could do was shiver and stare
and think and hope and pray

The weeks turned into months
my ribs showed through my skin
I was getting weaker by the second
Very thin

I am taking my last breath now
being looked out for by a dove
I now am a lifeless horse
A horse who once was loved.

A Rider's Prayer
Dearest Creator in Heaven, give me strength to guide my horse.
Make my hands soft and my head clear.
Let my horse understand me and I him.
My heart you have blessed with a special love of these animals.
Let me never lose sight of it.
My soul you have gifted with a deep need for them.
Let that never lessen.
Always let my breath catch as the sun gleams on elegant heads.
Always may my throat tighten at the sound of a gentle nicker.
Let the scent of fresh hay and a new bag of grain be sweet to me.
Let the touch of a warm nose on my hand always bring a smile.
I adore the joy of a warm day on the farm.
The grace and splendor of a running horse-the thunder of its hooves
makes my eyes burn and my heart soar. Let it always be so.
Dearest Creator grant me patience for horses are harnessed wind and
wind can be flighty.
Let me not frighten or harm them.
Instead show me a way to understand them.
Above all, Dear Creator, fill my life with them.
When I pass from this world, send my soul to no heaven without them.
For this love you have given me graces my existance and I shall
cherish it for all time.

Program for the senior citizens
From time to time Seventh Heaven takes in older horses for our Senior Program. We get riders in over age 50 and need horses that are very calm that can ride at a walk for a 5 mile round trip. We have Senior Citizens from the home come to ride and alot of these lovely people are over 60, most off farms and just miss being on a horse or out on a farm. They come here to Seventh Heaven to take short rides at no charge, our reward is the smile on there face. If you have a horse that will fit our program please feel free to email us with the details..
